Contacts 2.0 Reimagines the Phonebook for a World of Too Many Apps
From urgent messages to everyday check ins, the concept aims to make reaching the right person simpler.
LOS ANGELES, October 28, 2026: When a message matters, finding the right way to reach someone can take too many steps. Contacts 2.0 aims to make that easier. Today, Unykrn launched the concept on its IP Market. Buyers can purchase the listed product assets and intellectual property rights. Founders and students can also pay to study the plans and support materials.
David Pailin Jr. and Michael Adomfeh are the co-founders of Contacts 2.0. They started with a simple idea: focus on the person you want to reach. A friend may check texts but miss email. A client may reply on LinkedIn but overlook a message elsewhere. Users must guess which app to try, copy the same message, and check each place for a reply.
The proposed design brings a person’s linked contact details into one profile. Users could choose channels, prepare a message, and set a send time for each one. Available message updates could appear in one place. The idea focuses on the phonebook built into a phone’s operating system. It guides work on connected apps, with each platform’s approval.
Everyday Problems and Proposed Uses
Urgent outreach. During an emergency, a person may need to reach a family member without knowing which app they are checking. Contacts 2.0 could help the sender choose several supported channels from one contact profile. This could cut the time spent switching apps and copying an urgent update, and provide read receipts to confirm message status.
Holistic deletes. Removing someone from a phonebook can leave that connection in other apps. A proposed holistic delete would let users review a contact’s linked accounts and choose which supported connections to remove from one place. For example, someone ending a business or personal relationship could manage those changes together.
Planned messages and follow-ups. A founder could prepare a client update and choose when it goes to each supported channel. A family member could plan a reminder for a better time to reach a relative. One place to manage those steps could reduce repeated work and help users keep track of their plans.
Less contact clutter. The same person can appear under a phone number, an email address, and several social accounts. Linked profiles could help users find the right person without searching each app. Users would choose which accounts to connect and grant the access needed.
Why the Market Matters
The launch comes as telecom firms expand 5G networks and are also looking for new services to offer. Omdia reports that global revenue from mobile, fixed broadband, and fixed voice services reached $1.3 trillion in 2025. That was up 4% from 2024.
DataReportal’s October 2026 overview reports 5.86 billion unique mobile users. It also reports about 7.68 billion smartphones in use. That figure is based on cellular connections linked to smartphones. These figures count different things. A connection count is not a count of separate phones. One person may use more than one phone or plan.
DataReportal also reports that the average active social media user visits 6.7 social platforms each month. This tracks the platforms people use. It does not count how many messaging apps they have installed. People have many places to reach the same contact. Contacts 2.0 aims to make that task easier.
“Contacts 2.0 started with a simple question: why should reaching one person require so many separate steps?” said David Pailin Jr., co-founder of Contacts 2.0. “By bringing this opportunity to Unykrn’s IP Market, we are inviting prospective acquirers to shape its next chapter and giving founders and students access to the planning behind the vision.”
Ways to Buy or Access Contacts 2.0
Full Ownership Acquisition | $4.5 million. A signed purchase agreement defines which assets and rights the buyer receives. A $1 million deposit counts toward the full price. The remaining $3.5 million is due within specified days after the deposit is received. The included demo app and demo assets transfer once the full payment is received and cleared.
Founder / Graduate Student Builder Access License | $9,995.99. This license gives one person access to materials for study, reference, and review of the business opportunity.
Student Builder Access License | $2,995.99. This license gives one eligible undergraduate student access to materials for personal learning.
The materials explain the product plan and how the system would work. They also cover the steps needed to build it. Other topics include platform approvals, privacy, security, and testing. The plans also explain how to hand over the work to the team that will run it.
These access licenses do not give users ownership or patent rights. They do not include the demo app or demo source files. Users may not launch the product for business use or share the materials with others. Added rights to build or sell the product require a separate agreement. Contacts 2.0 is a concept with plans to guide future work. Its features still need to be built. They also depend on platform approvals and the agreements that apply.
